My son has been using this plate and utensil set since he first started solids. Over two years later, it's still his favorite plate, and ours. The shape really does help him get the food on his spoon, and the rubber bottom kept it from sliding around when he was a baby. It's been through the dishwasher a million times, and still looks new!

Easiest table ware for baby to master. Still in use after 6 years. It was the one plate neither child could tip or toss off the high chair tray.

Doesn't tip.
This bowl is great in that in stays put and has several sides to move food along. I wish it was a tad deeper and that they had come up with a fork as well.

Won't easily tip and spill and easy to clean
This is a great first bowl/spoon set for an infant. I like that its easy to clean (you can actually pop out the main piece from the outer frame to do a thorough cleaning), its microwaveable, it helps cool down hot foods quickly (because its wide and helps the food spread across to cool quickly) and the rounded corners help you spoon out the last bits of oatmeal/baby food easily. Its flat design, although it reminds me of a dog food dish, is great so babies can't easily tip it over, as is the case with a regular bowl.

The way the spoon and the curve of the bowl combine helps make it easier for my daughter to scoop up food. Super-cute set, too. Just wish the bowl were microwaveable.
