Arm workout
I make all my own baby food, and this was great when we were first introducing solids in puree form. But it really worked out my arm and wrist. Sometimes, I had to ask my husband to help - such as with chicken or corn. It is a bit fiddly to clean as well. But it makes good purees.

Works but difficult to clean
The blurb is right, this is a great value, and it does what it is supposed to, but it is often quite difficult to get the metal milling part out of the main plastic strainer. I always have to get someone else to help me pry it out. An immersion blender works just as well for me.

Not sure it's a necessity
The mill says what it does - it grinds foods to a nice consistency, but I'm not sure it's any easier or better than mashing up food on your own with a fork. I also had the experience of having different foods stain the mill, which I guess isn't that big of a deal. In the end, I only used the mill a handful of times, and for someone with limited space, that's not a great bang for the "space buck".
I didn't expect much from this little grinder and was pleasantly surprised. We were able to ground up strips of boiled chicken. You just have to have enough elbow grease to get the job done. Great for travel and not a lot of parts so it was easy to clean. Grinding carrots stained the plastic a light yellow on the inside.
