Originally published in 1947, this timeless children's classic from Margaret Wise Brown is required reading for bedtime. Odds are, you're familiar with the story, but just in case: A sleepy bunny tries to stave off sleep by saying goodnight to each object in his bedroom, and, with a cadence that's gentle and soothing, helps lull listeners into a slumber land of their own. A great way to say good night to your child!

Such a classic book for bedtime with your little ones. Not only will your children love this book, but the simplicity has created a true soothing experience for generations. Once you start the ritual of reading this book at night, you will not be able to sleep without it.
I don't remember this one from my childhood. So when I received three copies of it at my shower, I knew someone knew something I didn't. My son loves the illustrations and even I love the repetition of the story. It's an easy one to read in low light since you soon know it by heart.
You won't really "get" why this book is terrific when you first read-thru ... but trust me, once your baby has arrived, you will think Goodnight Moon is brilliant! Get it for your first baby, or buy for a friend whose expecting #1. :)
To be honest, I don't really "get" this book. It doesn't have anything that draws me in or anything that I would think would draw a child in. HOWEVER, my son and every other child I know absolutely loves this book. Whatever it is, the kids "get" it!
This book was a favorite for my then 2 year old, and she still loves to read it when she finds it. There's lots to look at and point to, and you'll enjoy reading it too.

Great Bedtime Story
My son received Goodnight Moon as a gift. We used to read it at bedtime when he was a baby and eventually we moved on to other books. Most recently, he's been requesting Goodnight Moon again as he is getting more familiar with words and now knows how to read this book on his own. The pictures are very simple and at bedtime, it's nice to hear my son whisper "hush". Great book for new readers and restless little ones.
A must have for all families. One our favrite bed time stories.

Timeless classic
I've been reading this to my son since he was probably a few weeks old and it's still a favorite (he's now 2). He now knows the book by heart and practically reads it to me, but I am amazed at how timeless and classic this story is.
