Comfortable, attractive & durable!
I bought this rocker and the matching ottoman quite frankly because of its sleek look and comfort. I loved that it went with the minimal feel of my apartment. I never realized how happy I'd be with a piece of furniture. Not only has it withstood countless hours of nursing, bottle feeding, singing, reading and watching playtime but the appearance has endured and has been so easy to wipe clean (note, feedings can get messy). Everyone from my baby nurse, husband, parents (even my dad) have spent time planted in this chair and noted its comfort. The thing I appreciate most is that it can actually work in another room in my home - other rockers are too traditional and "baby room" looking to float into a living room or master bedroom. If you're considering a rocker (and have room for the ottoman), definitely go for this one.

as comfortable as it looks
I was hesitant at first for my wife to buy this chair, but after getting it home I feel in love. This chair is comfortable and stylish and will fit into any household style.

great for tall moms and dads!
yes, this glider is stylish and sleek but it's also very comfortable--especially for taller parents. i'm 5'9 1/2" and my husband is 6" 4, so with its extra high back, the luca glider is perfect for rocking baby, midnight feedings and story time, too. no sore necks and very happy rockers...

Best nursing chair
I needed a comfortable nursing chair that fit in a small space and would look nice with my living room decor - this chair met all these needs. All the other options out there were pastels and too large for our space. The height and position of the back made nursing so much easier on my back and neck. Now the glider is a welcome addition in our living room. The glider construction is now great with our 1 and 2 year olds playing near it because their are no exposed rocking parts for them to hurt their fingers. Every visitor thinks it is the most comfortable chair and no one realizes I bought it for nursing or in a baby store.

love this glider
We went into giggle to try out another rocker and after sitting in the Luca we changed our minds immediately. Its is a great height to lay your head back while nursing or feeding your baby. The pillow works really well as neck support for you, or for your baby, but not so great for a lower back support. I am short and need a softer pillow to prop up my back. I was weary about the fabric, but it has held up beautifully and my cats stay away from it (thank god). plus having a glider, living in an apartment seems to be a bit kinder than a rocker if you are living above someone and you don't have it on a carpet.
I admit to purchasing this glider mainly for its looks - there was no way I was going to let one of those puffy monstrosities into my house! Now that I have it, I really appreciate its size and styling the most, and it really is comfortable. After I bought it, I learned the importance of having solid arms on the glider so baby can't slip through, which this glider has. Also, a higher back is more comfortable for the inevitable napping that you will do while holding baby. And the size is great for a smaller room - those bigger gliders would totally overpower our small nursery (10'x10') this one is sized just right with the ottoman. We got the non-gliding storage ottoman, which is great. I'd also recommend you measure the width of your doorframes, we had a lot of trouble even getting this one in the door.

Great on all fronts!
The Luca Glider is great on all fronts. It is eco-friendly (check out the company that makes it), handmade, versatile (can be easily used in other rooms as a furniture piece), and space efficient!
Love this chair! Have been using it since my daughter was born, now she's 15 months. It looks great in her nursery and is very comfortable! We spend lots of time rocking and reading and has remained comfortable as she grows. We'll continue to use it daily. Great for nursing moms too.
We purchased this glider for our nursery because of its style, color, and size. We are happy with it. The only thing I would suggest is that if you are waffling between buying the ottoman with it or not, DO! We could not afford both but decided to go with the nicer glider anyway because we liked it so much. I'm now saving up for the ottoman because it is not as comfy with a fixed stool.

Stylish and functional
The Luca Glider is perfect for our nursery. The microfiber is easy to clean and the chair glides effortlessly. Its clean lines and contemporary style make this a great investment that can work outside of a nursery as well. The chair width is also perfect for fitting a breastfeeding pillow.

So lovely, but could use some mom-engineering
We live in a narrow flat, and I'm usually all about small, folding, or repurpose-able items and furniture, but a nice glider ended up being a must have. My husband wouldn't stand for my cheap but cute rocking chair, as it hit every squeaky spot in our floor, and it killed his back. And he is the one who puts the baby to bed every night, so how could I argue? Enter the Luca Glider, by Monte Designs.
Admittedly, this is a parent splurge. Though thankfully, the footprint is actually not quite as big as most gliders, and this chair has a beautiful silhouette. If you purchase it in a neutral color, it truly CAN work in your home even after the baby grows up. And it should--it's an investment!
PROS: The gliding action is super, the fabric is easy to clean, and you don't actually need to purchase the ottoman (but it would be nice for napping with the baby). CONS: The chair is costly, but very comfortable. Also, the armrests could be a little lower to facilitate breastfeeding. I find if my elbows are on the armrests when I'm holding the baby, my shoulders tend to be raised a bit too much, which makes them tight. So I hold the baby at a long diagonal when I'm feeding her. Conversely, my husband doesn't seem to have this problem when he's reading her stories and putting her to sleep. Since breastfeeding only lasts a year or so, I think this chair will still serve us well into the next years, and it will blend nicely with our other furniture. Lastly, the fabric takes a while to break in, and until it does, the microfiber actually makes a noise when you sit down in or get up from the chair. Strange, but true. Still, cheers to Luca for making the first attractive glider I've seen. Now they just need to hone the details with a real nursing mom, and then work on the price point!
...great for both mom and dad. Sleek modern / neutral style that could go in almost any nursery and would easily transition into a den or living room. This chair has one of the best glides (I've tried them all!)... I would also reccomend the matching ottoman. Very comfortable! FYI - you can also order this model with the contrasting piping.

Super comfy and stylish
we love this rocking chair. even though it's pricey, it makes a lasting addition to your home. this can easily transition from the baby's room to the living room once she has outgrown it. the lumbar support pillow is wonderful as well.
This chair is perfectly scaled and its clean lines make it work beyond the nursery. Has held up beautifully in the 16 months we've been using it and I expect it will continue to do so. We bought it with the ottoman which is nice to have but I don't believe necessary to appreciate the glider's funcionality.

Best Gift Ever
I received this rocker with the ottoman as a gift from my brother. It's absolutely amazing! I wanted something stylish and comfortable. I don't like the look of the traditional rocking chair, so I was looking for something modern. This rocker is so stylish and incredibly comfortable. My baby goes to sleep right away when we sit in it. Also, I absolutely love the fabric (there are two types of fabric, mine is color gray and it is made with this smooth fabric), it is so easy to clean it's amazing. My baby spits all over it, and it comes out immediately and there isn't a single stain on it. It's also pretty light.

Most stylish glider
The Luca glider is stylish, comfortable and practical. The quality of the furniture is second to none, and the ottoman makes for the perfect place to settle your little one and breastfeed. Highly recommended.

Not your traditional rocker!
I bought this glider for my sister and she loved it. She wanted her baby's nursery to be warm and comfortable, but not overly cute and frilly. This piece of furniture is both functional and beautiful. Modern, clean lines, but also not too big.
I had to have this chair, the price tag didnt matter, i sat in about 10 different gliders/rockers this was the one, when I breast feed my arms can rest perfectly on the arms rests.

Great Piece in Any Room
This glider is great for a smaller person. It was super supportive and comfortable especially during those first months breastfeeding around the clock. I slept in this chair a lot. It looks great anywhere as it looks like a modern piece of furniture not just a nursery item that has to go to the garage after you are done nursing. Ours is in the living room now and looks excellent along with the rest of our modern furnishings.
