Workhorse from Toddler thru Elementary Years
Yes, at first blush the price is quite high- but if you really break it down, this chair is SO WORTH IT. Our 4 year old started sitting in it two years ago, and loves it. Because of the adjustable height seat and footrest platforms, he can sit at the table with us at exactly the right height. He won't outgrow this seat anytime soon, because of this flexibility. Our 1.5 yr old is obsessed with this chair and no longer wants to sit in his highchair. He's even able to climb into this seat himself (because of that footrest). We love that this chair is made with sustainably harvested wood and painted with non-toxic paints in beautiful colors for parents like me who want great kid-friendly gear that still looks great with your adult decor! We have the dark espresso colored wood, which is understated and blends nicely with our dining furniture.

Small and Adaptable
We purchased the black one, which works well with our dark wood furniture. We have a lot of walnut, but the one with Walnut finish was still a bit light. The chair design blends right in - looks like a regular chair around our table. It's small but doesn't tip back because of the sliders provided for the base. The average child will be able to easily sit up straight with the extra attachment by 6 months. No one I know has had problems with that. In the beginning when I fed her, it was nice to have the open space between us with no tray. No banging that way! I found it easy to put together. There was a period of time that I missed having a tray separate from our table... but I like that this continues to change as the child grows - no need to purchase boosters or higher stools.

Best chair ever
Everything about this chair is good. The wood is easy to clean and nice looking. It pulls right up to the table so younger babies can eat with family.

The perfect highchair!
I bought the Tripp Trapp for my son when he was a year old. Ever since then, he loves this chair! He can get in and out of it on his own and because of it's sturdiness I don't worry about him climbing on it. He feels like an adult when he eats with us because he is at the table. This is a great chair to help your child feel like a part of the family at meal times.

Fine for small spaces
I bought the Tripp Trapp for my then 7 month old b/c I needed a high chair that was fairly compact and didn't take up a lot of room.
I found the attachment used when he was an infant very difficult to get him in and out of the high chair. You can't just pop it in and out and it was difficult to get his little legs into it.
Once he was old enough to not need that it made getting him in and out of the Tripp Trapp easier but now he constantly puts his feet on the table b/c he has nothing besides the straps restraining him.
For the purpose of space saving and allowing him to eat at the table with us it's been great but overall not having a tray has posed problems. I'm sure once he's bigger the feet on the table will pass but it is absolutely annoying at the moment.

Functional and looks good - Bonus
I love that our son can sit right at the table with us for his meals, and not having to be pushed back due to a tray.
I love that the Tripp Trapp will grow with him, and we can use it for years to come.
I love that the Stokke Tripp Trapp looks good at my dining table and blends in with the furniture - this is an added bonus, to an innovative and functional design.

Great Longevity!
We look for things that are of good quality & will grow w/ our children. This is one of those purchases that you just feel great about. We love the color choices and style of the chair, but they are also of great construction. Our son has used it since he started solids & now that we're expecting baby #2 we feel confident in passing the chair on- I don't think one could say the same for other high chairs on the market.

Nothing else like it!
My son is 1 and has been using this chair for months. He sits at the table with us and we eat all meals together. If I have another baby soon, I will be getting another. Looks like furniture and not a big bulky plastic chair. I like that there is no tray, so they eat at the table like adults do. I think it teaches nice eating habits early and makes meal times a family event. Expensive, but worth every penny.

love this chair
We've purchased two of these chairs! They have fit both our kids when they were babies and are still using them now.. the oldest is 4 years old! They slide right to the table so baby and toddler start eating at the table from the beginning. Our living space is small so it affords us more room in the eating area than a regular high chair would.

Grows with you
Love the look of this chair in our apt.
Baby is comfy, and we enjoy her sitting with us at the table!
Wish it was easier to get her in and out of it, but overall, a great buy.

works only if your baby can sit up straight!
this entire system is good from post 9 months. Prior to it you will need to get another system. I have spoken to many moms about this and they feel the same. One said she is happy with it "now that her girl is 2 years old!" I feel the same. Great system but they need revise the age recommendation on it. Also the additional baby guard system is so tight and small that unless your baby is tiny it wont fit! Assembly is difficult and the guard rail and straps got stuck when we tried to force it through the gap it was suppose to fit into. So, we returned it and got another one.

Great chair
My son has been in this chair from 6 months old. He has always been part of the family sitting at the table. It's a great chair and easy to clean.

Highchair that is cool furniture
I love the tripp trapp. We have used it with our 3.5 year old since she was 6 months. The guard rail is sort of challenging but once we took it off, it was great to have her eat at the table. She still uses it.

Best High Chair Ever
This is the best high chair ever. My oldest son has my Tripp Trapp from the 1970's and we bought a new one for our younger child.

Best Chair
Many of our friends and family have been taken back by this chair unitl they see it in use. Our child loves it and sits perfectly safe in it as a member of our family at the table. We enjoy seeing her at the table in a manner which does not make her appear seperate in a large plastic chair. Even though it is wood and cloth, it is easy to clean and maintain when the child moves to food and begins feeding themselves. We are pleased our child will be in this chair for years to come.

Functionality at its best
This is the best high chair that I've come across. The kids, like that they have their own chairs and sit at eye level with the adults. I even use the chair as a step stool and it doesn't even shake under the pressure.

Thank goodness for the Swedes!
They've designed an excellent highchair: the Tripp Trapp grows with baby so that you don't have to buy more than one highchair/child's chair--genius! The chair has a very small footprint, is incredibly well-built and attractive, and is easy to assemble. Put some felt glides on the bottom if you have a wood or tile floor, and you'll be in business. We love this chair! The baby seat attachment needs a little fine-tuning, but Stokke has great customer service, and is more than happy to help with diagnosing problems and offering suggestions. They even asked me to email them a photo so they could help me adjust the straps!

Great & Stylish
This chair has been a great buy! We purchased for our son and he began sitting it in at 6mos (with infant insert) and now he's 19 mos and loves it when we put him in there for meal time. It cleans up easily, fits right up to our kitchen (and dining) table and looks great. One word of caution-- the chair covers for it should be washed in cold/warm water and not put in drier. Our nanny did and they shrunk and did not fit.
Our daughter was just born and we really want to get another one so they each have their "high" chairs. big fan.

grows with child & makes them feel "big"
i get one of these chairs for my kids when they're between 12 and 18 months. they love the "big boy" aspect of having their own chair and sitting at the table. the chair goes well with our dining room table and we adjust it as the child grows (which is also an exciting milestone for my kids). i love the clean, study shape and build of this chair. we joke that each kid will keep the chair until they leave for college!
