UPPAbaby Vista (2009) - Alex

Great-looking, versatile -- and a great value for your money! This stroller comes with both a bassinet and a toddler seat, and can expand to carry more than one child with the optional accessories. Plus, it folds up in one step for easy portability. Why it's a giggle pick: We love that you can add an extra seat without doubling the width, and add a ride-along board for a third passenger. Who it's perfect for: The growing family who needs a stroller that can grow along with them. Click here for more product details .

Uppababy Vista
We love our Uppababy Vista! This stroller is used daily on the city sidewalks (not great ones in some places) and over, up and down the grass of many parks. I enjoy walking our dog with 1 hand and pushing the stroller with the other. Our son can face us and chat with up as we walk (to be honest our friends have been envious of this feature). We have taken long walks and our son slept like he was in his bed (even over the cobble stones in Fells Point). In the beginning we used the bassinet which was great! We used it as a bed on the first floor so we did not have a pack and play taking up room in our house, used it on walks, on trips it served as his bed (without the stroller or with). It is easy to fold and light, stroller stands up on own in corner of our house and out of the way. It moves in and out of doorways with ease.Oh and maybe most important of all easy to take apart (the whole thing) and wash, for those really bad days :) The basket holds a ton of things for days when you want to stay out of the house all day and need a change of close, toys and diapers. Out stroller has served as a changing table for our son and friends kids too as it is higher and lays back.In comparison to other similar strollers the Uppababy wins, when I was looking to buy I found reviews by many Moms who bought other strollers (that cost more and have similar features) and they stopped using the other model and bought, used, and liked the Uppababy more! I was sold! Oh and you do not need to take the stroller apart to fold which may not seem like a big deal before you have a kid but once you have one it is nice to be able to open a stroller using only one hand!!!!

I love it!
It is just great. I really love it. After days and days of looking at strollers and reading reviews I chose the Uppa Vista over the Bugaboo. I tried both and I definitely felt much better with the Uppa, mainly because the baby is closer to you (I feel the Bugaboo is too low), the storage space in the Uppa is a lot bigger, it is a lot stronger, and it is also very beautiful, excellent quality.

Some people believe that the Uppa uses too much space, and that is true, but not really so much more than the Bugaboo or any other full size stroller and the Uppa is easy to fold and so comfortable to handle.

I could say so much more... one of the best purchases ever!

nice looking car
Great stroller. Overall we are very happy with the quality and performance of this stroller. Handles well, turns around in a dime and it is easy to fold, yet sturdy. All the features work well but it is not the ideal stroller for a small car. This stroller (as any full size stroller) will not replace your umbrella stroller. Quality of the tires seems to be holding well and we love the frame and look of it. Fabric and materials are good too. I recommend this stroller for parents who stroll a lot even in rough terrain. It is really a good purchase for the money since it comes with everything you really need, even the bassinet. I would call this stroller the Land Rover/Ferrari of the strollers.

Great for 2
This is such a convenient stroller when you have 2 young kids. You can easily add the extra rumble seat. This is the only stroller for 2 that is easy to manoeuver and is not too big.
The ony downside is that the rumble seat does not incline and when your older kid wants to sleep, the seat is too upright.

Easy to maneuver!
This stroller is very lightweight and folds easily to transport in the car. It's very easy to steer on city streets and has plenty of storage space in the cargo net.

Amazing package deal
Prior to becoming pregnant, I always thought I'd be a bugaboo buyer. All of my mommy friends have bugaboos and I certainly didn't want to be the only one left out of the "bugaboo circle." However, I did my due diligence and researched all of my options and discovered the UPPAbaby. I'd like to say it was love at first sight, but I still had my doubts about veering away from the bugaboo... After many test drives in the store, I realized the UPPAbaby was the best choice for my family.

Things I love:
- The ease of assembly. We opened the box and set the whole carriage up about a week before our son was born... Easy easy!!!
- The organic fabric.
- The bassinet - I thought I would only use the bassinet for long walks (which it's great for btw), but I actually used it as the baby's bed for the first month of life. I used it on the carriage frame so I could rock my little one to sleep when he was fussy, but I know that the company also sells a bassinet holder for indoor use.
- The ease of adaptation - switching out the bassinet for the Graco car seat adapter is a piece of cake. I love that the carriage will fold up with the seat attached.
- Maneuverablity - this carriage provides such a smooth ride, my son falls asleep instantly - even when we are on bumpy terrain.
- Company customer service - called the company with a minor problem and they didn't hesitate to send me a brand new replacement piece. I received it the next business day. Customer service rep was beyond helpful and sweet.

So far, zero dislikes to speak of!

Great for every stage!
When looking for a stroller I wanted something that could travel and collapse easily, be great for city streets or park trails, last my child from birth to toddler. The UppaBaby Vista more than exceeded all of my expectations! It's super lightweight and folds up easily (FYI...it fits through airport security no problem if you pop the wheels off) stands up on it's own. It offers the bassinet for 0-6 months but can also accommodate an infant carseat. It has the largest cargo basket I've seen on any stroller. The wheels are great for streets or park trails and hard packed sand and you don't have to worry about ever getting a flat. It also comes with a second seat attachment for another child which makes it perfect for when we expect our second. The only complaint I have is that the cup holder is totally overpriced and ridiculous and it doesn't really have space for a "caddy" of any kind. Other than that, it's amazing and I am so happy that I bought it!

Very good overall
Choosing a stroller is ridiculously difficult - especially when you are a new parent! I thought I knew what features were most important to me, but I don't think you really know til the baby arrives. My friends recommended the Bugaboo whole heartedly, but in this economy, I felt like I had to "economize" somehow. Though my baby is only 6 weeks old, we are happy with this purchase so far. The bassinet has been very useful around the house, in fact we haven't taken it out of the house. He naps in it and we can move him from room to room without waking him. The stroller frame folds relatively compactly and is very easy to hoist in and out of my Subaru outback. The chicco car seat adapter is easy to use. My only complaint is the ride, which I think is a little bumpy - this is the price you pay for wheels that can't go flat I suppose. Strangely, it feels most wobbly on the smoothest concrete floors (like at a big-box store). I think I will probably buy an SUV type stroller (like a BOB) in a couple of months for more vigorous walks on bumpy sidewalks. Still, overall I think the versatility of this stroller will make it worth the money over the long term.

Love this stroller!
I love everything about my UBV. It handles well - is adjustable in height for both my husband and I, and the bassinet makes a lovely bed for our newborn.

Plus, it came in orange, our favorite color! We couldn't be happier, and I look forward to adding the rumble seat attachment for our next baby!

Worth Every Penny
I am a true believer in you get what you pay for that being said you truly get your money worth with this stroller. Not only is it beautiful to look at but it is awesome to use. We bought it for our daughter who is 2 months and she loves it. She loves to sleep in the bassinet. It's very soft and comfy. The pad is thicker than in most regular bassinets. It's lined with organic fabric so it gentle on her skin and since its organic you don't have to worry about your baby breathing in any kind of harsh chemicals from the fabric. The canopy doesn't really shield from the sun but I travel with a parasol so I block out the sun with that. The wheels ensure a smooth ride. It's very sturdy I had to carry the entire stroller up some stairs and I did it without difficulty...I am a mother of 5 so I am used to lugging things around & it didn't seem heavy to me at all compared to my last sit/stand. I love the basket its very roomy & I love that it springs down. Its easy to fold & super easy to attach everything to the frame. I get compliments every time we go out. : )

Love It!!!
I love this stroller! It is easy to travel with and so versitile! We don't have a lot of storage space and the thought of buying mulitple strollers to meet our needs wasn't ideal. With this system we have multiple strollers in one and are so happy with our purchase. It is easy to carry and change out the components. It is also very lightweight and well made. We hope to use this for many years to come. We would recommend this stroller system to all our friends and family!

Only Used Bassinet So Far
Our baby is only 9 wks old, so we've only used the bassinet for strolls around the block. But the materials and construction of the stroller are great! We love the leg room (for mommy/daddy) and the height of the bassinet. There is a great sun/bug screen. Only downside to the bassinet is that no rain cover is included. (There is one for the seat though)

Will update again when we've used the seat! (we have the blue stroller - and love the color!)

Great Stroller for Walking
When I was researching strollers, I wanted a stroller that had the capability for the baby to face me. This was extremely important to me, as my husband and I do a lot of walking (miles) in our town and in parks and we wanted to communicate more with our son and interact.

Of all the strollers that are capable of backward facing, this one had a great ride (wheels are large and capable of easily riding smoothly over ruts, gravel, crumbly sidewalks), cheaper than a bugaboo, a nice bassinet, and lots of expansion options. This stroller also has an uber nice basket. We do all our walking grocery shopping with this stroller and we take it to the farmers market. We also love the adjustable handle height because my husband would keep colliding with the wheels at the lowest setting. I also feel that canopies are extremely important and the Vista's canopy is great!

A couple of negatives - the harness is not very substantial, and the crotch strap isn't wrapped in fabric which it should be, because as it is it gives the baby a wedgie (not that he notices). I would say the most vertical it can go is about 30 degrees from vertical. This is a slight incline which the baby hasn't complained about yet.

As for in and out of a car, unless you have an SUV or minivan, the Vista is a big honking stroller to try and keep going in and out of the car. We have a second stroller we keep in the car for in and out of the car trips (the Peg Perego Si which is a great great short trip and travel stroller). For instance I would never drag the Uppababy Vista on an airplane trip.

i love my uppababy!
i have been using this stroller since my son was born 2 months ago and am loving every moment of it! it is so easy to maneuver, simple to fold, the bassinet is incredibly comfy and it's so chic! my only critiques are the bassinet has poor sun coverage, the basket is hard to get to with the bassinet attached and the back wheels are incredibly wide. even so, i really love this stroller!

Great stroller!!
I absolutely love our UPPA baby stroller. It has so many great features. It has excellent maneuverability and a massive basket. We love the fact that the seat is a little higher, allowing the baby to be closer to mom or dad. The seat can also face in toward the parent or out toward the street. Also, the infant car seat can snap onto the base! Brilliant! So many amazing features and at a lower price than the Bugaboo! Plus, unlike the Bugaboo, the stroller folds up with the seat still attached to the base.
I can't say enough great things about this stroller. It's fantastic!

This stroller is the best!
I love this stroller. I spent a lot of time researching strollers, and after seeing this stroller in person I can tell you it is truly great and I feel really good about the decision to purchase it. It is sturdy but lightweight, and it is so smooth to push. I love the bassinet feature--although it could use an additional sunshade beside the bug and sun shade which works well for bugs, but doesn't do much for sun. The storage basket is large and if you have a large diaper bag a little more difficult to access when the bassinet is in place, but has a spring on one side of the basket which allows you to shove large things under, or get things out. The stroller is designed so you don't hit your ankles on the frame when you walk and it is easy to fold--remains standing when folded. The carseat adapter is a dream and can be kept on stroller when folded. I love this item and will tell everyone looking for a stroller this is it!

Best Stroller!!
This is the BEST STROLLER out there!
1. The fabric is made of organic cotton.
2. The HUGE BASKET below makes it so easy to bring everything you need while on the go, including my two Shih-Tzus!
3. Folds in one shot which is so easy to do.
4. Tires makes it easy to roll up and down my brownstone steps effortlessly.
5. Front tires are larger than the Buguboo which prevents it from getting stuck in potholes which I see happen to the Bugaboo all the time!
6. Adjustable handles so my husband who is 6'2 can comfortably use the stroller.
7. Free Standing Bassinet which has come in handy so many times.
8. I am so HAPPY with this stroller and so is my daughter!

Sweet ride
I used to balk at the idea of spending $1,000 on a stroller (ahem, Bugaboo). I was all set to buy a jogger until my friend introduced me to the UppaBaby Vista! One look, and my husband was sold. After doing a ton of research, I was sold too.

It has all the great amenities of a high-end travel system at a lesser cost and better value (bassinet features and weather covers are included). Some extras it brings to the table are: foam wheels (so no risk of getting flats), HUGE storage basket, adjustable handlebar for tall people, seat is higher, and some elements are made from organic soy.

It is also easy to fold and stores upright. You can even fold it with the toddler seat in-tact. The bassinet feature is not only great for walks, but also for napping at home. This is a GREAT stroller, and the gear I am most excited about. I don't think my kid's first car will be as nice as this stroller!

Great Urban Stroller
I live in an urban area and wanted a stroller that I could take everywhere--walks to the store, on errands, etc. and hold up on city streets. It was also important to me to have one that has a rear-facing possibility, as recent studies have suggested that this is important for language development.

It was very easy to put together (even did it when 8 months pregnant)--all of the parts just snapped in, so I didn't have any trouble figuring out whether I was doing it correctly, or tightening screws well enough. The instructions had detailed photos and were very easy to follow.

So far, customer service has been great! I had a problem with the front wheel locking and emailed Uppa about it. Someone replied immediately, was very helpful, and told me specifically what needed to be done to fix it (it was very simple, as it turned out).

The stroller converts very easily between the bassinet seat (which I used as a daytime napping spot for my baby when he was young, in addition to using it for walks) and the toddler seat (which can face either direction). A red indicator turns green when you've successfully snapped the seat in, too, for further peace of mind.

At first, I couldn't figure out how to fold the stroller, but once I figured it out, it's very easy. The only trouble is that there's no good place to hold it once it's folded. I don't plan on having to carry it folded very often, as I walk just about everywhere and won't need to take it in and out of my trunk very often.

What I wish were different:
**I wish the seat could be totally upright. It's reclined even in the most upward position.
**The sun canopy (which is HUGE and fabulous) is sometimes hard to contain. I wish it zipped in.
**I wish the toddler seat, when removed, could stand alone as a chair for baby to sit in (like a car seat would do).

Otherwise, I've been so happy with this purchase. I think I've finally found the perfect urban stroller!

Great Stroller
My husband and I have researched MANY strollers, we had originally wanted the Micra Lite Toro but with further research we decided on the Uppa Baby Vista. I understand why parents like the Buga Boo when I compared them side to side the Buga Boo drove much smoother however, the Uppa Baby offers a lot for the price b/c it comes with the stroller and the bassinet (which is organic). The Uppa offers great options, the baby can face towards or away from you, the breakdown of the stroller is easy you and there's ample storage underneath (great for shopping). It can be bulky but not as bad as other strollers out there. And if you plan on having more children you can buy additions to the Uppa Baby that accommodates more than one child. The best part is Uppa Baby offers exceptional customer service if you have any product issues. They stand behind their product but listen to the consumer, that's great!
