My Daughter Loved It!
Even before I payed for the Metro, I loaded my daughter (13 months) in it. After we left Giggle, she was giggling and laughing as we walked down the street. What fun! The Metro is very comfortable--apparently for both of us. It even adjusts to fit my husband, who is built like a linebacker. It is a snap to load my daughter into it--even when I'm alone. I'm thrilled with this product. It's much more convenient than a stroller.

Great for short outing/crowded spaces
I bought this when I could no longer carry my 25 lb. son in the Ergo carrier (which I loved dearly..) I put him in it in the store and walked around for a while. He was so happy, I couldn't help but buy it! We were looking for something to carry him in mostly to go to festivals, parades, or a quick trip on the bus or train when we didn't want to take the stroller. I have to say that this is not something to carry your child in all day long. However, if you're looking for a quick trip down the street, or will be taking him or her in and out of it often, it can't be beat. It is by far the best way for us to get on and off the bus to get to gymboree and other places. It also cannot beat it for shopping, since he is so happy in it! I think the best thing about the metro carrier is that it stands up on its own and provides a safe, contained, and comfortable place to put your child down. When we get on the bus, I just take it off (which is very easy to do by myself), and he has his own seat on the floor in front of my seat, out of the way and not on gross bus seats! Same thing with shopping. Dressing room? I just sit him down in front of the mirror and we're good to go. Festival? It's a built in high chair to sit wherever and feed him! So, definitely not something I could lug him around in all day, but between my husband and I we did last a few hours at the German Fest last summer!
At 22 pounds, our son was about to outgrow our baby bjorn carrier so we were looking for a similar product that would take him through to 40 pounds or so. We were planning to use it on an upcoming trip to New York so what could be better than a Metro Carrier? I bought this product online and was surprised, once it arrived, to discover how heavy and bulky it was before even putting my son in it. I took my son out in the carrier for a trial expedition. After about 15 minutes, the shoulder pads started to feel very uncomfortable. Despite making multiple adjustments, I could not get it to sit comfortably. After 30 minutes, I was wearing the carrier and carrying my son in my arms. The other problem with this product is that it has multiple pockets, but in order to reach any of them (to access your wallet, for example), you have to remove one of the arm straps and slide the carrier over to one side which is both uncomfortable and dangerous with a child in it. Later that evening, I suggested that my husband give the carrier a try but I didn't share my experience because I wanted his unbiased opinion. After about 15 minutes, my husband was remarking about how uncomfortable it was and after about 30 minutes, it was the same thing; my husband was wearing the carrier and carrying our son in his arms. I returned the Metro carrier and bought the ERGObaby carrier instead. It is fantastic - light weight, compact and very comfortable - exactly what we were looking for.
