This is no Bugaboo, but it's the best travel system out there. I have been very spoiled by my Bugaboo Donkey with the one handed handling and rubber, air-filled wheels for a smooth ride. While the Orbit G2 travel system is BY FAR the best travel system out there, the stroller itself does not compete (in my opinion) with the top of the line strollers. I love how this system folds with the twist of a hand and opens easier than even an Umbrella stroller, but I don't feel that it handles as easily as my Bugaboo. The only real complaint I have with it is that the front wheels tend to catch as they spin around if I was to pull back on the stroller, change position and move forward. It makes the stroller lurch in somewhat of a strange way. Aside from that and the fact that the ride isn't as smooth as a stroller with air-filled wheels, I have no complaints.

Review 2 for Orbit Baby G2 Stroller Base

Best stroller out there
We have the Gen1 Orbit system and have always been happy with the ease of travel that the car seat, car base, and stroller provide. The round mounting system has saved our backs and makes it so easy to let our daughter face any which way. It's great for restaurants too because we push her right up to the table, rotate the seat and we don't have to use a gross high chair or coax her back into her stroller after the meal. Most kids will never sit back in the stroller once they're out. We're very excited for the Gen 2 Stroller base thanks to it's updated design and attachments. Our oldest will love the sidekick because she'll really be too old for a double stroller when the new baby arrives. For long trips and walks it's nice to have the option of adding a double attachment. Convenience is paramount but I also try to only buy baby products that look contemporary and cool. The orbit looks good, and I was deciding between it and the Stokke. In the end the Stokke is a nice looking stroller but doesn't come close in convenience.

Review 3 for Orbit Baby G2 Stroller Base

Two years and counting!
I got the orbit travel system when I was pregnant with my son who is now 2 1/2 and I am expecting our second. The orbit stroller, infant car seat, and toddler car seat have all been phenomenal products for our family. My husband and I are full time pilots and I have taken this stroller back and forth across the country and we had one mishap with an airline and orbit customer service was fantastic. I have contacted them on three minor matters, the wheel didn't seem quite right, the handles needed replacement after a ton of use, and the incident with the airline and they have always exceeded my expectations. The products are intuitive and comfortable for tall people ( I am 5'11" and my husband is 6'4") because the handles adjust. We love the cup holders and the swivel seat. The stroller itself folds up so compact it will fit in the airline overhead compartments. For the type of product it is, a stroller that holds an actual car seat, I don't think there is a lighter, more compact or well designed system.
The Orbit stroller frame works great with the car seat - the seat docks in and spins around easily. Also, the frame folds down using just one hand. However, the positives stop here...
- easy to dock the car seat in/out - easy to swivel the car seat around - easy to fold with just one hand - extendable handles (3 positions)
- the frame is heavy (together with the heavy seat it is impossible to manage in the city when using public transportation - you will need another/lightweight stroller to tackle that) - difficult to store when you don't have a garage (forget about this stroller if you live in a walk-up and have no storage room downstairs) - hard to maneuver (particularly hard when using one hand only) - rusty connections/screws after just a few months of use (making the maneuverability even worse) - squeaky wheels - don't like the 2 handles, would prefer a horizontal bar instead - very small and hard to access under-seat storage (diaper bag does not fit in hence it is completely useless in my opinion, all you can squeeze in is a rain cover and some thin blanket)
Overall, I expected more from a $500 stroller frame. I wish it had a much bigger under-seat storage, one horizontal bar as opposed to 2 separate handles, and I also wish it was not that bulky & heavy, and easier to maneuver.
The travel system (Orbit stroller frame + car seat) works well in the suburbs - when you don't have to use public transportation and can park the stroller in your garage (I actually had to get a lightweight umbrella stroller to tackle the challenges of the city as it was impossible for me to manage with the heavy 2-piece Orbit, diaper bag, and a baby).

We're so sorry that the “eco”/healthy, “premium” travel system choice of Orbit Baby (preferred by many who want a true modular/flexible travel system, and the highest quality finishes) isn't the right lifestyle fit for you. Uppa, Bugaboo and other premium strollers we adore, absolutely offer more features including more cargo space, and a single handlebar.
Because we work hard to find the best products for different lifestyles, by definition some products are not the best for your specific lifestyle. And, if you’re experiencing any issues with any Orbit Baby product, remember the fantastic 2-year manufacturer warranty support – giggle’s Customer Service can even help put you in-touch with the vendor!

Review 5 for Orbit Baby G2 Stroller Base

The functions of this stroller are brilliant. My favorite feature is the fact that you can turn the car seat around in a circle when on the base in the car or on the base of the stroller, this saves your back from giving out. I believe this is the best stroller on the market right now and tell all my friends about it.
